Social Media - A necessary evil.
We all are glued to our mobile phones screens and with other gadgets using social media till the time our eyes and head start aching. We love this virtual world. We love the followers and praise we get here but it's not free ,it comes at a great cost.
This social media is causing a great harm to our intellect. We are becoming so used to it that we have stopped reading books, going out with friends, stopped following our passion. We are endlessly wasting our time on Instagram reels, You Tube Shorts, Facebook stories and so many other platforms . And out of it, what are we getting? A cipher! Nothing out of it. May be one day the oil of our eyes will get exhausted. And we are busy in stalking our exes, her fiance, family.
We are wasting our so much money on Data. These telecom companies making huge profits out of our obsessions. But we are not using these platforms for our benefits. Very few of us are using the social media and internet wisely and surely I am not one of them, though I try and soon I would also be among them.
It's killing our creativity. We all are doing some job and as soon we land on our sofas after the job , we just enter this virtual world and then there is no end. We love notifications and the sound of the messages. Because our mind feel relaxed in it. We have taught our brain to feel relaxed this way. No hobbies nothing just this virtual World is the answer to all our sufferings.
We all need to stop this. Track our time on social media or mobile phones in general. Continue our forgotten hobby and again teach our brain to feel relaxed in doing other creative things.
You know what Dr. Ambedkar said- " The cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence".
